Voting is one of the core responsibilities of every member of every tier. The guild is YOUR home, make sure you take part in who joins.

Member Tier Votes (Yes, No, Abstain)

Member Tier Votes will work in the following manner:

Voting YES

Voting yes says that yes you have met this person and believe they are a good fit. Do not vote yes for people you have not met. It is ok not to meet everyone, but likewise it is your responsibility as a member to accommodate sponsors and trial members and try to meet them over there 4 weeks so you can decide if you vote yes. If you do not know someone you do not have to vote no, but do not vote yes, instead choose the “abstain” option.

Voting NO

By voting no you are saying, "no this person does not belong in Liquid Courage". You need to be able to justify this choice by sending identical PM’s to the Guild Leader and Membership Recruitment Officer explaining why you vote no. They will decide if your no vote is justified. 2 justified No votes (either a single No vote that both officers consider justified, or multiple No votes that are justified in either officer's opinion) will result in automatic failure of the vote.

Voting ABSTAIN

By abstaining you are saying “I have not had enough in-game contact with this person to make an informed decision.”

Passing The Vote

The vote is passed if the Yes count is 70% or higher of the total votes cast. If abstentions are greater than 40% of votes cast, trial membership will be extended for a month. This should catch cases where someone has been unable to meet enough guild members due to playtime circumstances or what have you. At the end of the extension a second vote will be posted, though there will be no second extensions.

Veteran Tier Votes for New Members (Yes, No, Abstain, Offer Spot in Member Tier)

New members applying to Veteran Tier will have 2 votes running simultaneously. One vote in the Member discussion forums, and one vote in the Veteran Discussion forum. NOTE: Current Veteran and Raid Tier members need only vote in the Veteran Discussion Forum.

Voting YES

  • Member tier will assess personality and fit. A yes vote means you have met this person and agree they are a good fit for the guild.
  • Veteran and Raid tier will assess personality and fit AND raid performance, and a yes vote means you believe this person is a good fit for both requirements.

Voting Extend Member Tier Offer

  • This option is only available to Raid and Veteran Tier. Selecting this option means you believe this person is a good fit in personality, but does not meet raiding expectations.

Veteran Tier Votes for Existing Members (Yes, No, Abstain)

Existing members who wish to upgrade their status will have only one vote in the Veteran tier Discussion forum. In this circumstance, the vote options will be Yes, No, Abstain.

Voting YES

  • Veteran and Raid tier will assess raid performance, and a yes vote means you believe this person is a good fit for Veteran Tier and meets the requirements.

Voting NO

  • By voting no you are saying that you do not believe this person is a good fit for Veteran Tier and does not meet the requirements.

By abstaining you are saying “I have not had enough raid experience with this person to make an informed decision.”

Passing The Vote

The vote is passed if the Yes count is 70% or higher of the total votes cast. If abstentions are greater than 40% of votes cast, you will be allowed to apply again in one month.

Raid Tier Votes (Yes, No)

Raid Tier votes will work in the following manner:

Voting YES

  • You believe this person is a good fit for the raid tier and meets all requirements

Voting NO

  • You do not believe this person is a good fit for Raid Tier and does not meet the requirements.

Passing The Vote

Anyone that doesn’t vote will count as a Yes. This means that any raid tier application will pass unless justifiable No votes are made. The expectation is that you will vote, as part of the responsibility of raid tier is providing constructive feedback to applicants that get denied.
