Guild Leadership
From Liquid Courage Wiki
The Guild Leader will have an Officer Council, in other words officers to help run the guild. They will each have defined roles and responsibilities. When dealing within their area of responsibility the officer answers to no one but the guild leader in terms of interpretation and enforcement of rules. The council as a whole will discuss major issues and general topics in a restricted forum, but ultimate enactment of changes and rulings will be the responsibility of the GL and officers whose realm the change takes place within.
The officers are expected to act as a single entity outside of the restricted forum. As a member of the leadership team their responsibility is to uphold and enforce the rules of the guild, even rules they may not agree with entirely. Officers are expected to maintain the same restrictions as the “raid tier” membership level to be described below.
In the event that an officer position is unfilled (new position, officer steps down, officer is removed from position) the membership will be allowed to apply for the position. Applications will be taken for 1 week, all candidates will then participate in a live chat interview with the officers, and then the officers will vote on who is to be promoted of those applying.
Before applying for an officer position it is important to remember the following, being an officer is an often thankless job with no benefits other then helping to steer the Guild towards greater achievement. It offers no special privileges in terms of loot and requires a much bigger time investment. You are required to enforce the guild rules at all times. As an officer you will be required to see/hear/read some private information and discussions. (Officer Forum, Officer Chat Channel, Officer Voice channel, PM’s, etc.). You have been granted this information as part of your authority and the confidentiality is part of that responsibility. You should not be sharing these conversations with your friends and family, or giving access to the forums, etc. as this is a conflict of interest. Likewise being removed from your position either voluntarily or involuntarily does not free you from the expectation that the things you have discussed are private and not to be shared with the general public.

Guild Leader
Guild Leader: Kyah
The guild leader’s primary responsibility is to insure the guild as a whole maintains its direction towards the Guild Charter. This includes creating new rules as they are needed and making decisions on topics not covered. It is the guild leader’s right to make these choices with or without input.
It is the guild leader’s responsibility to back up the other officers when they are not available to handle their duties. Ultimately the management of the guild is the GL’s responsibility so indirectly the other officer’s responsibilities are the GL’s as well. Likewise it is the responsibility to remove from office any officer who is not maintaining their duties to the level expected.
The Guild Leader is also in charge of communication to the guild. This includes a weekly address letting the members know what is being currently discussed in the Officer forums. It also includes running a suggestion box pm program. You send your suggestions in PM to him, he then posts the question and response/actions for the guild to see.
Basically anything concerning the guild is ultimately the GL’s responsibility.
