Guild Content instances will use a DKP bidding system. What this means is you earn points by attending guild content raids that you can spend on gear at guild content raids.

Earning Points

  • 1 point for signing up before cutoff and showing up on time for the raid start, no grace period
  • 1 point per boss killed. Final bosses of multi-boss instances are worth 2 points.
  • 1 point for boss attempts against bosses that have yet to be beaten (1 per raid, so 3 identical boss wipes in a single evening is 1 point until the first time that boss is killed).
  • A bonus of 2 dkp points (10-man) or 5 dkp points (25-man) for the very first boss kill.
  • A minimum of 5 dkp points will be guaranteed for each raid night regardless of boss kills.
  • 2 dkp may be awarded in the event of a raid cancellation.

DKP Decay

DKP will be wiped for any member that did not attend at least one raid during the previous four months. The wipe dates are currently March 1, July 1 and November 1.

The wipe dates are subject to change with each expansion, based on whether there was a long gap in guild raiding at the end of the previous expansion (from WotLK to Cataclysm, for example).

There are certain extenuating circumstances that will exempt someone from this process such as military leave, family emergencies, and non-fault banned accounts. You will still be required to contact an officer about these conditions.

Auction House Bidding System

All guild content raid level gear dropped will be “auction house style” public bidding in the raid channel. So the Loot Officer (or back up officer for that raid) will start the bidding in the raid channel. Items will be auctioned in the order they appear on the loot window.

  • Bidding will be done in 2 rounds.
  • To counter bid you must bid at least 5 points higher then the previous bid or your max points.
  • Bids must be in whole numbers
  • Should you bid in round 1 and then not wish to continue bidding in subsequent rounds you must announce pass
  • There is a 5 point minimum bid for all items, except patterns, which start at 0 dkp and have 2 dkp increments.
  • You may only bid up to the max points you have, should you wish to bid and do not have enough for a minimum bid then bid what you have but you will be charged the minimum and go negative should you win. Please say (max) after your bid so the loot officer knows you are bidding your max points.
  • Items not bidded on will be sharded, the crystals going to the guild bank
  • There is no limit on the number of items you may win in a single evening or even single encounter. Your only limit is the amount of points you have.

The Two Rounds Bid system

  • Opening Round: You may only bid once in the opening round. Your opening bid may only be one of 3 numbers, the minimum bid allowed, the maximum points you have(even if it is a negative number) or at least 5 over the highest bid. For example if someone bids 10 on a min 5 item you may only bid 5, your max points or any number greater then 15. You must bid in the opening round in order to compete in the auction round.
  • Auction Round: after all initial bids are taken open bidding will be allowed. At this stage you may only bid at in quantities of at least 5 higher then the current highest bid or your max points (as long as it is greater). You may not tie bid. If you cannot or do not wish to compete further you must “pass” to let the loot officer know you are removing yourself from the auction. You may bid as many times as you wish in this round until there is a single winner.

Auctioning continues until everyone passes. The only tie allowed is in the event of minimum bids and then all passes in which case we will roll off. Any bid over a minimum bid must be overbid, there can be no other ties.

Crafting Materials/BOE Quest Drops

  • All crafting materials will be sent to the guild bank.
  • All BOE quest drop items will go to the guild bank.
  • BoP crafting materials (nether vortex, heart of darkness) will be distributed as follows:

All bind on pickup materials that drop will be will be distributed through normal bidding rules with a few exceptions:

  • Tanks may have top priority without being charged dkp if (resist) gear is needed for certain encounters that further guild progression.
  • Bids on such items with known patterns will have priority over those that don’t.
  • No bids will be allowed for the intent of financial gain.
  • You may bid on BoP materials in order to have a BoE item created for you by another crafter.
  • If you are bidding with the intent of having something crafted for an alt, you must say (alt) after your bid, and this bid will follow the alt priority rules.
  • Minimum bid is 2 with 2 point increments.

If there are no bids, all materials will be banked throughout the top crafters in attendance. (This is only when the crafted items are BOP).

Epic Level Crafted Items/Enchants

  • Upon obtaining enough materials to make raid level crafted gear or enchants you may purchase these items at a fixed DKP fee. There will be weekly announcements of what is available. The interested player with the most CURRENT points will win the item at the fixed fee (this is things like corehound belts, lava belts, etc.)

BOE Quest Drops

  • The quest items will be given out by the guild bank for free to the member obtaining the purple drop through bidding. For example should Rahab win the bid on the Husk of the Old God, then the bank will provide the 2 idols of rebirth 5 bronze scarabs and 5 ivory scarabs to make the genesis chest for free
  • The same goes for items such as eye of shadow, ancient petrified leaf, black dragon sinew, thunderfury portions. Winning the bid on part will give you the remaining portions for free. They will go in out in order of those who won the pivotal bop first piece.

Unclaimed BOE epic drops

  • Any unclaimed BOE epic will be sent to the guild bank where it will be auctioned off through blind bids to the members not attending who can use and have points to spend.
  • At the loot officer's discretion, BOE epics may be sold to the Auction House for guild funds. BOE epics will only be sold if no current raiding member needs the item for their main character.

Raid Level Recipe/Spell Drops

  • Raid Level Recipes will be initially offered to bid at for 0 DKP min bid (if you have the trade skill/class at appropriate level).
  • Should no one bid on it, all in attendance with appropriate trade skill/class level may random 1-100 for it
  • Bidding on a Raid Level Recipe is also reaffirming that you are keeping that trade skill. You in fact are required to.

Miscellaneous

  • Bags that drop from raid instances will be distributed via dkp with a 5 point minimum bid and 5 point increments.
  • Epic Gems that drop from raid instances will be distributed via dkp with a 2 point minimum bid and 2 point increments. Raider Tier and Veteran Tier members have priority over all other tiers for these drops.
  • Epic Mounts and Pets that drop from raid instances will be distributed via dkp using the standard rules.
  • Legendary drops from raid instances will be distributed via dkp using the standard rules. Raider Tier members have priority over all other tiers for these drops and Veteran Tier members have priority over other tiers in the event that no Raider Tier member bids on the item.
  • Legendary items that are obtained via Raid Level quest chains will usually be handled by establishing a priority queue for the item via a normal bidding process. The winner of the bid will have priority on all BoP raid drops for the quest chain until they have completed the quests. If the winner of the bid is not in attendance, the BoP drops will be awarded to the next highest bidder present. The timing of the initial bid will vary depending on the specifics of the quest chain - if the quest chain starts via a BoP boss drop, the initial bid will occur when we first kill that boss. Note that just like Legendary drops themselves, Guild Rank is a factor in determining priority - Raider Tier, then Veteran Tier, then Member Tier.

Trial Members and Alts

  • The same rules apply, however if a bid is made in the same round as a member, the member will have priority on that item.
  • If a member is requested to bring an alt, then the alt will have the same priority as a member.
